Active Building Group Australia transformed a building dating back to 1873 into a sophisticated private art gallery, carefully balancing modern construction requirements with the preservation of the property’s historic character.

The commercial fitout involved significant structural and architectural works, including excavation and underpinning of the existing footings to straighten and stabilise the external walls, a full travertine bathroom, custom mono-stringer winder stairs, and the restoration of an original 150+ year-old courtyard water feature.
